Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Jennifer Lawrence’s upcoming sex comedy “No Hard Feelings,” set to hit theaters on June 23. The recently released trailer has garnered plenty of attention, showcasing Lawrence’s comedic skills as she plays a woman hired by helicopter parents to seduce their socially awkward 19-year-old son before he heads off to college.
After a two-year hiatus from acting, Jennifer Lawrence is back and ready to tackle a new challenge: starring in a sex comedy. The R-rated trailer sees Lawrence’s character Maddie trying various tactics to win over Percy, played by Andrew Barth Feldman, including skinny dipping, kidnapping him in a van, and getting pepper sprayed in the face. The film also stars Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti as Percy’s parents, as well as a talented supporting cast that includes Natalie Morales, Hasan Minhaj, Kyle Mooney, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Scott MacArthur.
Directed by Gene Stupnitsky and written by Stupnitsky and John Phillips, “No Hard Feelings” is expected to deliver plenty of laughs and raunchy humor, much like Stupnitsky’s previous comedy “Good Boys.” The film is produced by Lawrence, Alex Saks, Naomi Odenkirk, Marc Provissiero, and Justine Ciarrocchi, with Phillips and Kerry Orent serving as executive producers.
Lawrence’s recent roles in “Causeway” and “Don’t Look Up” have proven her range as an actress, and fans are excited to see her take on a comedic role once again. With the buzz surrounding the trailer, “No Hard Feelings” is shaping up to be one of the summer’s must-see comedies.
